General Summary: Peachtree Hills Place - The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR department's daily operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position ensures a smooth and efficient HR function, contributing to a positive workplace environment for our staff and exceptional care for our residents.
Essential Job Duties
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding processes, including new hire orientation, training schedules, and necessary paperwork.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
Associate Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for associate inquiries and concerns.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Promote a positive work environment through engagement activities and initiatives.
- Supervises and Coaches HR Coordinator.
Performance Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems.
- Provide support and training to managers on performance evaluation processes.
- Monitor and track associate performance and address any issues or concerns.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate Associate records, including personal information, job history, and performance data.
- Prepare and submit required HR reports and documentation.
- Conduct regular file audits and maintain company compliance.
- Assist crossdepartmental payroll processes.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist in the administration of associate benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Provide information and support to associates regarding benefit options and enrollment.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
- Support organizational change and development efforts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR.
- 35 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HRBP or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification (e.g., SHRMCP, PHR) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- The HR Generalist will work in an office environment within the community.
- Regular interaction with staff, Members, and external stakeholders.
- Must be able to handle a fastpaced work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Some physical activity, such as walking around the facility, may be required
