Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong technical expertise in power distribution, AGL (Airfield Ground Lighting) systems , authority compliance, and electrical design for large‑scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of professional experience , with proven capability in sizing major electrical equipment, reviewing detailed calculations, and ensuring full compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations, codes, and airport authority requirements .

Key Responsibilities

• Substation & transformer sizing — Size and review substations, transformers, and major electrical equipment in accordance with project requirements and authority standards.
• Authority compliance — Ensure full compliance with Abu Dhabi electrical regulations, ADDC/AADC codes, and submission requirements.
• AGL system design — Design, review, and validate Airfield Ground Lighting systems including CCRs, lighting circuits, isolation transformers, and airfield lighting layouts.
• Lighting calculations — Perform and verify lux level calculations for internal, external, and airfield lighting systems.
• Voltage drop & cable sizing — Review and validate voltage drop calculations and confirm correct cable sizing for all electrical networks.
• UPS & capacitor bank analysis — Evaluate and verify UPS sizing, capacitor bank calculations, and power factor correction requirements.
• SLD & load schedules — Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Load Schedules, and electrical schematics.
• Coordination & technical resolution — Coordinate with consultants, contractors, airport authorities, and regulatory bodies to resolve technical issues.
• Design discrepancy resolution — Identify design discrepancies and propose effective engineering solutions.
• Technical meetings & inspections — Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, site inspections, and authority workshops.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from a recognized and accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical design, power distribution, and building/infrastructure projects.

Proven experience in:

• AGL systems (runway, taxiway, apron lighting, CCRs, isolation transformers)
• Substation and transformer sizing
• Lux level calculations
• Voltage drop analysis
• UPS and capacitor bank calculations
• SLD and load schedule preparation
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi electrical codes , ADDC/AADC regulations, and airport authority processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
