Job Description – Construction Supervisor

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities at project sites to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities and site personnel.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor work progress and ensure project milestones are achieved within the scheduled timeframe.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to resolve site issues.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and rectify any deficiencies.
• Manage labor, equipment, and material usage efficiently.
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and documentation.
• Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is an advantage.
